In order to cope with the challenge of aging population in China, to promote the comprehensive development of rehabilitation undertakings for the aged, and to accelerate the formulation of rehabilitation standards for the aged, the 2nd Shanghai International Geriatric-rehabilitation Forum (IGF2021) will be hosted by the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine and the National Clinical Research Center for Geriatric Diseases (Huashan) in Shanghai on August 13-15. The purpose of this forum is to "explore geriatric rehabilitation with the world", focusing on the theme of "geriatric rehabilitation standards". We will hold an “Outstanding Papers Competition ——Aging on the nib" to display, exchange, and select outstanding papers during the conference. The following ones are the specific requirements and related matters about the outstanding papers competition.
The topics include but are not limited to the followings: the advances of the rehabilitation of geriatric neurological disorders, osteoarticular diseases and cardiopulmonary diseases; the innovative technologies of geriatric rehabilitation; the evidence-based medicine of geriatric rehabilitation; the rehabilitation care for the elderly, as well as hospice.
Objects: clinical/rehabilitation physicians, rehabilitation therapists, nursing personnel, geriatric rehabilitation related researchers/engineering and technical personnel/graduate students, etc.
Guidance for Submission
1) The paper should be innovative, scientific, and not have been published in the full text form in any journal;
2) The submitted abstract should contain: a title, the author(s’) information (name and affiliation), a summary with no more than 500 Chinese characters, key words. Tables and figures could be submitted as supplementary materials (but not obligatory). The abstract of original researches and trials should include the following sessions: purpose, method, result and conclusion of the study.
(Note: The author(s) will be invited to make a PowerPoint or to submit a e-poster if the abstract is selected as an oral presentation, or an e-poster, respectively.)
3) When submitting the abstract, the author(s) should indicate whether he/she/they would “prefer oral presentation” or want to present as “e-poster only”. According to the choice, the author(s) will be invited to make a PowerPoint or submit an e-poster. If the abstract is selected as an oral presentation, the presenter will need to make a presentation courseware and deliver a speech on the conference. The panel will score the selected researches (not including case reports) and evaluate the "Outstanding Paper Award". Those who are selected for the “e-poster only” need to make an electronic poster to display.
4) Finalists of excellent papers (including oral presentation and e-poster) must complete registration, and participate in the on-site speech, poster display and award evaluation.
